Borderland’s 3 launch on Epic Game Store last year went really well. Many PC gamers have waited long enough to buy the game. The gamers were more interested in playing the game on Steam. (Luckily, your wishes are granted!) There’s good news for all of the PC gamers as Borderland 3 is going to launch on Steam on March 13.
Borderland 3 on Steam will have a PC Crossplay Screen which is powered by Gearbox Shift Matchmaking. Steam users will be prompted to provide a unique display name to use Crossplay. However, if you are not interested in this option, you have the option to opt-out of the Crossplay. You can also turn off the option from the game menu.
Another important information for the gamers is that when the Crossplay is enabled, in-game item swapping is not available at the launch. This option might be taken into consideration shortly.
Both pre-orders and pre-loads on Steam will start on the same date, that is, March 10. The game will be officially unlocked for all the pre-orderers on March 13 at 7 am PST. We hope that Steam’s efforts pay off in the long run!
