Following last week’s leak, Square Enix announced that Octopath Traveler, former Nintendo Switch exclusive, is coming to Steam on the 7th of June.
Octopath Traveler is a critically acclaimed JRPG that features a unique retro-style combination of 2D and 3D graphics that grabbed the attention of Nintendo Switch’s gamers when it was announced in last year’s E3. Within one month of its release on Switch, it ranked up to one million in sales, making it one of the best-selling games on the platform.
The Steam page is already available and confirms that the game will include Steam features like achievements, trading cards, and Steam Cloud saves.
Hope are high that the PC release will succeed as well as the Switch release and will expand the game’s core audience to the PC market. As of the writing of this article price and system, requirements aren’t available.
The PC release confirms once more that Square Enix is taking the PC market seriously and as an essential part of the company’s sales ratio, following the success of titles such as Monster Hunter: World and Devil May Cry 5.
